IBM and StrongLoop will be going to Boston, Massachusetts to attend APIStrat 2016 from November 2-4.
APIStrat, the API Strategy & Practice Conference, shines a spotlight on the API economy. The event site states:
“APIStrat brings together experts, leaders, and members of the community to discuss what we each see on the ground every day. This event is not just for developers and IT teams, it is also for business users, executives, and anyone who seeks to better understand how APIs are impacting the world around.”
IBM API Connect is acting as one of the event’s sponsors, and you can expect some of the IBM and StrongLoop team to be in attendance.
Two of our Evangelists will be there: Joe Sepi will be be leading an API Connect workshop and the newest member of our Evangelist team, Erin McKean, will be speaking about her experiences as Founder of Wordnik. Details on their involvement are below.
November 2, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm: ““From Zero to Awesome: API-Driven Apps in Just a Few Easy Steps”
Joe described this crash course by saying, “I’m going to take workshoppers from zero to awesome using LoopBack and API Connect. We’ll go from a blank slate to a deployable API Layer – with a number of bells and whistles – all in about 90 minutes!”
Erin told us about this talk, stating, “I’ll be talking about my role as the founder of the nonprofit organization Wordnik, where I maintain the Wordnik API that is used by 18,000 developers. These developers use Wordnik’s API to add dictionary content to word games, educational apps, and lots and lots of Twitterbots.” It was working with developers who use Wordnik that made Erin excited about easier ways to create, develop and support APIs — such as LoopBack and API Connect.
